Yummy BLT Sandwich served at The Pantry in Cebu

When I immediately heard from a colleague about this new place in The Gallery at Mabolo, Cebu City, I immediately told Audrey about it and she was game at checking out the place. So off we went to check out what The Pantry at The Gallery has to offer.

Basically, The Pantry is a month old deli which also sells Fruits in Ice Cream™, ice cream cakes, cupcakes, sandwiches, sausages and other items. Am not sure though if their major products are their cold cuts or their sandwiches for I failed to ask them about this. I’ll get this info on my next visit for I vow to return to this store! 🙂

Choc O’ Berry Pie @ Php85.00 per slice

We wanted to try out different flavors of their ice cream scoops but upon learning that the same ice cream are used for their ice cream cakes, we opted for the later instead. The ice cream cake was so-so. Maybe we ordered the wrong combination. Next time, I’ll try their scoops. Each scoop is priced at Php50.00.

The Pantry’s interiors

The Pantry’s interiors is simple yet classy. Their wrought iron chairs have this modern twist to its designs and I  love their seat covers. We were not allowed to take pictures inside the place but I managed to take a few stolen shots…hihihi

I like their wallpaper and took pictures of Audrey. I wanted to capture a certain angle but I’m still not sure what it was that I wanted to achieve so here’s the result of the shots.

And for the killer order, we had a hard time choosing from their menu. Their sandwiches are priced at Php 140++. You get to choose from a regular sized wheat bread or an 8″ french bread. Their sausage sandwich goes with a hotdog bun, and nothing else, except for the mayo, mustard and ketchup. So we choose the sandwich since we haven’t had breakfast yet at 11am (LOL)

Being on a tight budget, and since we didn’t understand the different meat variations included on most of the sandwiches, we decided to order Bingen’s BLT sandwich. (I just learned now that BLT stands for bacon-lettuce-tomato…hehehe). Unlike other sandwiches, which have 2-3 meats included, the Bingen’s BLT sandwich only has bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise.

Bingen’s BLT Sandwich @ Php 155.00

We split the sandwich since it was big. But after eating my share, I tried hard to resist the temptation of ordering a second one. The bacon sandwich was really good. I tried adding mustard, ketchup and mayo too and with or without those dressings, Bingen’s BLT Sandwich still tasted great!

I better ask them who Bingen is the next time I visit the place. hahaha. When I come back to this place, I’ll try their other sandwiches. So far,  Bingen’s Bacon-Lettuce-Tomato (BLT) sandwich at The Pantry was a sure winner!
