After a movie date with Audrey, we were asking ourselves where we should hang out. I guess we got tired of hanging out on our usual places – Hebrews, Cakewalkers, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, etc. Then I remembered something. Whenever I passed by A.S Fortuna St. here at Mandaue City, I noticed this cute little establishment just before Joven’s Grill. The word “fudge”, written in blue, is the 1st visible signage you will see on the establishment’s rooftop.
And by looking at the whole 1-storey building, I can immediately sense the simplicity of this new place. And then I just pass by, without having the chance to stop over and check out the place.
I have always wanted to try out the Fudge Restaurant and now that we have all the time, we decided to check out this place on this side of town. The first thing we checked was if they have outlets for our laptops. Audrey went in first to ask and when she gave me the go signal, I went out of the car, got all our stuff and went in the restaurant.
First thing we did? Found ourselves a cozy table near the window, left our bags, went to the counter (with my eyes wide open from all those pastries) and started taking pictures of the food.
went gaga over the sooo many yummy pastries here
cupcakes, chocolate balls
Audrey asking their accommodating staff their best-sellers; one of the staff preparing the pastries
Audrey, on the other hand, was busy asking the staff what their best sellers are and ordered the food for us since I busied myself with all the photo shoots.
the Cheesecake Delight
yummy, yummy, yummy!!!
Rainbow Cupcake, Calamansi Cupcake, Chocolate Cupcake
Audrey, admiring our order; too bad Ed couldn’t join us
a pitcher of iced tea with orange pulp; their spacious area
Aside from serving pastries, the Fudge Restaurant also serves meals. However, when I checked the menu, some were really pricey. I have yet to try out their dishes too and see if their serving sizes can compensate for the expensive rates. Maybe next time though (since we’re tight on our budgets too).
The Fudge Restaurant also offers a secured wi-fi connection for their customers. Just ask the staff for the password and they’d be happy to give it to you.
The place is cozy and I like it here. I find it a good place to burn my laptop from my other work. I’ll definitely go back to this place one of these days.
