Journey to the Center of the Earth

Ok, after watching Confessions of a Shopaholic on the internet a few days back, I decided to try a different movie since I have nothing else to do at dawn of Sunday. As I was scanning through the list of movies in surfthechannel.com I saw the movie Journey to the Center of the Earth and decided to watch this since I missed this on the big screen.

The movie (2008) is an action/adventure/sci-fi movie starring Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson, Anita Briem and others. Brendan’s brother went missing for 10 years and when he discovers notes written by his brother on the novel Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne, Brendan was convinced that his brother was in search of something. He went to Iceland to investigate the matter and brought along his nephew (Hutcherson) who was staying at his place for 10 days. Eventually, they get trapped inside a mountain and soon their adventure starts as they travel to the center of the earth.

Our computer room was adjacent to my parents bedroom and although I was wearing my headsets to avoid disturbing my sleeping parents, I couldn’t help but scream and shriek from time to time as the movie progress. Extinct species grew on a different world they discovered. Extinct carnivorous plants became a threat to them. The chase with something that looked like a T-Rex kept my heart pumping and I couldn’t help getting scared watching the movie too. 😆 It was really fun watching this movie. Next on my list is Once.
