Dear Bigwinboard Community,
We are writing to inform you of a significant decision we have made as a company. Effective immediately, Bigwinboard.com will be withdrawing from Instagram and Facebook. This decision has been made in response to the ongoing censorship policies implemented by these Meta-owned platforms, which have increasingly undermined the principles of free speech.
It has come to our attention that both Instagram and Facebook have succumbed to pressure from the European Union and the United States to censor content that these authorities disapprove of. This is deeply concerning to us, as the essence of free speech is to protect all forms of expression, including those that may be controversial or unpopular. Without the protection of speech we don’t agree with, the concept of free speech becomes meaningless.
At Bigwinboard.com, we hold the values of free speech and the free flow of information in the highest regard. These principles are not just important – they are urgent. We believe that everyone should have access to diverse viewpoints and information, and it is our mission to support this.
Unfortunately, we too have experienced censorship. Various European authorities have actively sought to limit our reach, along with that of our peers in the iGaming industry, and restrict access to the information we publish. It is unthinkable that such measures are being taken in a supposedly free world, yet this is the reality we face.
In light of these challenges, we have decided to refocus our social media engagement on platforms that support free speech. Going forward, we will prioritize our presence on X (formerly known as Twitter), where we feel the commitment to free expression aligns more closely with our own values.
We appreciate your continued support and understanding as we navigate these changes. It is our hope that by making this stand, we can contribute to the broader fight for free speech and freedom of information.
