Yep! That’s right. Maribago Bluewater invites bloggers all over the Philippines to enjoy its white sands. And its absolutely free. In order to be eligible, one has to only write about Maribago Bluewater and its offerings to guests. The post should not be less than 150 words too. So only 5 bloggers per Sunday shall be given a chance to enjoy “Sunday by the beach” from October 25, 2009 to November 20, 2009. Isn’t that amazing?

I’ve been to the place once and it was all crowded because around 1,000 employees or so so converged at the resort for their annual summer party. I’m one of those employees yet I really never felt the chance to get to know Marigabo Bluewater with all those crowd. If given the opportunity, I would love to go back to this place on November 15, 2009 together with my other blogger pals, Ed and Audrey so that we can enjoy and relax even for a day at Maribago’s white sands and just completely forget about the “stressful” life we lead at work.

Maribago Blue Water Beach Resort continues to be one of the most sought after resorts in Cebu. Even way back, I have heard a lot of good things about Maribago Bluewaters. Although I grew up in Cebu, it was only last May that I got the chance to visit this wonderful resort. Our company held its yearly summer outing in Maribago. For the past two years, we have been using VistaMar’s location to hold our summer gathering. I was really relieved that they chose a different venue this year and I really didn’t think there was no other resort that could have hosted such great venue than Maribago Bluewater Cebu. I really believed that the company I worked for choose the best location in town. Our workforce was close to 2,000 and I was so amazed that the resort was able to accommodate such a huge number of people. I was set to not joining last May’s summer outing but since I learned that we were having it in Maribago, I immediately changed my mind. I haven’t been to the place yet, you see. hehehe

During the day, different games were played to instill sportsmanship, camaraderie and teamwork. The resort is really ideal for company outings too, big and small.

At night, the showdown of the Best Dance Crew competition was the highly anticipated part of the program. Groups from different accounts battled to claim the title for the Best Dance Crew.

As we roamed around the resort, we really told ourselves that we ought to book a stay in the resort in the future. Everything was perfect. The place, the ambiance, the amenities, no one could ask for more. And the best thing is that it is just less than an hour’s drive from the city.

Our summer outing was really a blast. I’m so glad that I am a part of a wonderful company who knows how to take care of its people and who knows how to show their appreciation. I could pretty much say that Maribago has every right to be included among the top spots for best resorts in Cebu. Seeing the Maribago Bluewater video just proves that Maribago’s corporate DNA is still alive and kicking among locals and foreign nationalities.

By the way, Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort has a sister resort outside of the city. Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort is also creating a buzz in this part of the island. I have been to the place once and I cannot forget how beautiful the island looked. I even created a Sumilon Bluewater blog last April inviting my readers to go south of Cebu for their summer vacation since I find it a must to drop by Sumilon. I am still hoping I can go back to the island one of these days to capture some wonderful memories again. I failed to visit the other side of the island when I went there and I failed to check out their lighthouse and library so that’s also one thing to look forward to on my future visit. In fact, Bluewaters, in cooperation with PINOYWORLD is inviting bloggers to a day trip at its island paradise  which is the Sumilon Bluewater Beach Resort. We heard of the contest from Xerxes Bernadez. There are only limited seats and I wish Ed and I will be included as this is my first time in joining any contest. I’d  really love to blog the latest buzz on my favorite island.

Honestly, I have been to the islands of Caramoan last June and although they say its the next Boracay in the making, nothing would ever replace my choice of an island getaway than that of Sumilon’s.

To those first timers traveling to Cebu, apart from the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño, the famous Tops, the enormous Taoist Temple, the trip to Colon Road and downtown Cebu and other tourist destinations, never fail to include Sumilon Bluewaters in your list. But if your schedule is tight, a trip to Maribago Bluewaters is even better.
