Last night, Ed and I chilled at Praline‘s place where Verge “conducted” a crash course workshop involvingdiscussions on Photoshop, WordPress Themes and Blogging.

Verge is our MASTER WEB DESIGNER. He is soooo talented and he is the artist behind the cool new header of ceburoadtrip.com.

We learned a lot from the workshop. We just didn’t appreciate the intermittent connection we experienced with Globelines. It was really a hassle.

Towards the end of the workshop, I borrowed Verge’s Bamboo Pen and started sketching. Here’s my doodles and sketches. Pardon the artwork for it kinda resembled drawings of an 8-year old kid. Hahahaha

1st drawing…Fido Dido?

I first started drawing from MS Paint. After the first drawing, we installed the Bamboo Pen’s drivers which allowed me to make use of the tablet’s pad with ease. So I opened Adobe Photoshop CS4 and started drawing there.

I couldn’t control the pen so what started out as a slim nose, turned into a big nose. Instead of drawing a person’s face, I ended up drawing a lion’s due to that big nose. LOL

I used to know how to draw Dexter of Dexter’s Lab. I think I forgot how already. So I end up drawing doodles too. The one in the middle’s supposed to be Dexter.

Verge, taught me how to use layers to apply colors in my drawings. I’d say that it was very mind boggling -learning how to use those layering stuff + adjusting to the bamboo pen.

And for the “masterpiece”, my future birthday Cake. 3 candles x 10 this coming October. waaaaaa!

One thing’s for sure. I’m definitely getting a Bamboo Pen to bring out the child in me more often. hahaha.

Had blogging sessions with Cecille yesterday. Taught her the basics of blogging and showed her how to get by WordPress. I just helped her setup her own site, which is penfires.com and it is still a work in progress as we speak. Will probably have another session which will cover FTP discussions. I’ll also show her how to install WordPress fresh from her Control Panel. I just hope she understood everything I taught her coz for a moment there I thought I saw her nose bleed from all those information. I hope I wasn’t boring her with all those blogging terms and all. hehehe.

Indeed it has been a year since I created this site and the primary reason why I created this website was to earn money online. And I was able to achieve it. I’d like to show you my cash flow after a year from opening this site.

The money I earned helped a lot in paying up bills. Creating this site also paved way for more travel adventures, meeting new friends and the chance to win contests.

It wasn’t really difficult earning all those money. With dedication and determination, you too can achieve what I have achieved. But with those paid opportunities, I lost my Page Rank. At the same time, with a few mistakes in accepting different varieties of Ads, I lost Google Adsense. However, I am planning to get Google Adsense back after I do a major overhaul on this site. As to when that will happen, I don’t know. As for now, what I’m dying to do is change the theme of my site again to something more user friendly because there are broken codes in there somewhere which I can’t fix. A good example is the Gravatar logo in my comments box. Although I really love my header, I’ll just have to find some decent themes for the site when I have the time.

As for blogging, I came to love what I’m doing here on top of the the money I earned.  So I will still continue to blog the stuff that I love to talk about, travels, food and such. Just stick around for more updates.

The bad thing is that when I checked my email today, there I saw my pending payments sent to Paypal. It was only $14.50 but that would have been enough to  make it reach $250 once I combine my other $26.++ (from a different source).

I was supposed to put off the withdrawal till I get confirmation that I will get the $14.50 but after hearing Audrey‘s story that her Paypal account had fraudulent transactions after she attempted to withdraw her money and cancelled the transaction, I immediately withdraw the amount (for security reasons too). Her account is still inactive as of this point. tsk tsk tsk

I’ll just have to wait for the money to get wired to my bank account before I can get hold of the actual money.

This picture was taken a year ago while Audrey and I were sent to Bacolod for some training. Ed visited us 1 weekend and joined us in our Goodbye/Graduation/Team Outing party at Dos Palmas.

Audrey and Ed are my partners in crime when it comes to blogging. As of this point, both of them have laptops already and I have yet to own one. When this happens, we’ll all  raid cafe’s with Wi-Fi to burn the laptops while blogging/browsing. Of course we’ll ranscak the cake shelves of every cafe we’d come across. LOL. Audrey won’t mind having us consume her share of the cakes. She’s allergic to sweets you know.

Both of my blogging crime partners were the ones who influenced me to blog. tsk tsk tsk. How can I resist when one sits beside my desk way back and just raves about her site while the other has a loud mouth convincing almost anybody to blog. Peace guys! Wena, is also the other person who influenced me to join their blogger world. hihihi

But as of date, I have never regretted any single moment of it all. Kool kool kool!
