Deleting the Trojan

I received a message in my Entrecard Inbox informing me that my site still showed that it has a Trojan whenever Jude access it from her end. And yet I thought it was all gone. She was kind enough to send me a screen shot of what she sees every time she tried to load my page. After arriving tonight, I immediately pulled up my site and an error message was telling me the site won’t load since the connection timed out. And instead of contacting my tech support to have the problem fixed and to get rid of the possible trojan, I tried to look for the trojan first using my FTP client. Then I saw it! The file AC_RunActiveContent.js is a java script sitting on my public_html folder. I immediately deleted the file. Afterwhich, I tried to load the site and it loaded successfully. I also tried to login and update some of my plugins and it worked. Previously, I was really having a hard time getting the updates since it always gave me an error when I try to access my FTP. As for the reason where and how I got that script, I really have no idea. With that file gone, I just wish that I won’t have problems with the site’s security anymore.
Right now, I’m trying to be techy as I try to do a manual upgrade to get the latest version of WordPress. Everytime I click on the Automatic Upgrade button on my WordPress platform, it gave me an error message so now I am attempting at getting it updated manually. Hopefully this will work and it won’t screw my site. hehehe.
Well, I guess it worked since I was able to post this entry
To Jude, thank you very much!
No Work Day

Today was a busy day for me. I’m just glad that it’s a holiday today and we don’t have to be in the office.
Today, we are celebrating Ninoy Aquino’s Day, the anniversary of the assassination of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy”Aquino Jr, which was considered as one of the heroes of democracy in the Philippines.
Our team planned to get together for lunch since the original plan of having a team building didn’t push through. So we decided to eat in Siam at The Terraces in Ayala Center Cebu.

We agreed to meet up at 12noon but with the “mañana habit” which is widely known as the Filipino time, I arrived an hour and 20 minutes after
and the plates of the dishes are almost empty since I was late. I still managed to eat the food they ordered though. The food were very delicious but they are nothing near any of the authentic Thai cuisine. The restaurant already modified the taste to compromise with the way how our taste buds are grown accustomed to.
Actually, I just showed up to meet with everyone but quickly left since my sister forced me to go with her to see a local movie entitled “And I Love You So” starring Bea Alonzo, Derek Ramsey and Sam Milby.

She’s back for the weekend and she has no one else to watch the movie with. I’m just glad that we got to bond together again after a very long time. The movie was actually ok. Got teary-eyed on some of the scenes too. Gratefully, the ending wasn’t really that corny unlike some of the local movies I’ve seen.
After watching the film, my sister and I went to one of her favorite boutiques to do a quick shopping for the latest clothes in fashion. Upon entering the store, I immediately sensed that my sister was one of the store’s avid shoppers since all of them greeted her and then one of the staff made a comment that they have reserved new arrivals for her to choose from. To those who doesn’t know yet, my sister is a shopaholic. She’s basically addicted on shopping clothes. I’m glad that her phase in shopping for branded clothes was over. Now she opts to shop at What A Girl Wants, a chic boutique that sells the latest fashion trends at cheaper rates. We were able to select quite a few number of clothing and I just left her at the store to take care of paying for the stuff she chose and some of the stuff I liked since I need to go somewhere.
One of my close high school friends was in town and we made plans to meet and catch up on stuff. We got to exchange updates on our lives and also had fun exchanging information of the latest updated of our batchmates. It was fun meeting two of my close friends. I hope I can do this more often, to be able to get out more often for I always stay at home if I’m not working. hehehe.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Just watched this movie last Sunday with my 2 cousins. The movie was ok. I liked it. My colleague told me that the CGI effects or something is really evident and I agree that it was especially on the scene where they landed on the desert. But as for the rest of the movie, everything was great. “Gijo” as how we fondly refer to the movie is really an action packed movie. Although there were times were you’d think that all the storyline were scattered with all the flashback from the lives of the different characters, it was still a great film.
My friend also asked me what I think of Channing Tatum and I said that he was ok but not really that impressive. I’d prefer to see him show some moves like the movie Step Up
But he was kinda funny on his role on She’s the Man with Amanda Bynes. Well, come to think of it. He has been all over the movies I’ve seen but I really never noticed him apart from Step Up.
Oh well, what caught my attention was Sienna Miller. She was really pretty in the film and I kept trying to remember what movie she was in. It’s like it’s at the tip of my tongue. With some googling, I then discovered that she was one of the cast of Stardust where she played the role of Victoria, the girl whom Tristan fell in love with and promised to get the falling star they saw one night She also played the role of Francesca Bruni in the film Casanova, co-starring Heath Ledger.
After the movie, we went to grab some snacks at Flame It! and then I went to the office (on a Sunday) to finish some tasks. But I never really got to finish half of it since my good friend Debbie asked me to join her for a foot massage. She just got back from a 2-months training in Manila and I also couldn’t wait to meet her and catch up on things.
We went to Alibyo Spa in IT Park, Lahug and enjoyed a 1-hour foot massage. We were just chatting in the spa room while the masseur massage our legs and arms. We then went to Bo’s Coffee to munch some snacks. Then she drove me home since I need to give her the present she got from Daisy. She was the last person I had to give the “pasalubong” and when she left, I immediately sent a text message (even though it’s 2:30 in the morning…hahaha) to Daisy telling her that my mission is accomplished! I’m done being Santa Claus with the last gift turned over to its rightful owner
Will probably post pictures later.
