Cleaning up my Blogroll
Posted on 14 August 2009 | 1 response | 198 views
I have low tolerance for people who don’t keep their word, except if I initiate the request or if I add them on my own free will.
Anyway, got really curious about this person who asked me if I want to join their blogroll. They mentioned that their site is still accepting links for exchange and if I am interested, I can add their site on my links and they will do the same. Later on, I realized that the message gave me the impression that I am supposed to be overwhelmed that I was invited to join their blogroll. That it was a privilege to have been chosen since they are about to close their blogrolls. Then it got me thinking… why the heck would anybody want to limit their blogroll?
Although I have only been blogging for 9 months, I really don’t have any clue that there’s supposed to be a limit for blogrolls. Call me ignorant if you may but I don’t believe in the essence of keeping a shortlist of links to other people’s blogs as I see the blogging community a means to extend my acquaintance and information to other bloggers in the universe world. I also see this as a way to open the doors to other people’s sites if they ask/request to have their sites added to my list.
Without any hesitation, I immediately add sites to my blogroll when they request one on the assumption that they should add my site back. But when I see that they don’t do the same, the most sensible thing should be done, which is to kick them off my site too.
Honestly, I’m really pissed right now. I hope we all keep our word and practice proper blogging ethics.
To those who want to be added to my blogroll, drop me a line and I’d surely oblige to your request. I am also assuming that you will add me back to your site.
Peace!
Delaying Tactics

I guess I have nothing else to do. I’m supposed to prepare for work today yet here I am…my face glued to the screen
and trying to look for ways to delay time. hahaha… The end result, editing my photo in Photoscape. I selected the Edge option in the Filter button of Photoscape. I really like Photoscape so much and it has been my default photo editing tool ever since Ed introduced it to me. As for Picasa, I recently downloaded the software and I really liked its collage feature. I really love the outcome of the pictures I edited for my James McAvoy post
I better stop now before it rains hard. Oops! I think I’m hearing the heavy raindrops on our roof. Waaaaaaaaaaa!!! I’m outa here!
Later!
Note: Picture taken when there was a time that I got busy with retailing. Yes, it’s a mannequin’s hand
Rain Rain Go Away

It rained hard today and when I was getting bored in the office, I just took pictures of the heavy downpour happening outside from the glass window of our office. I wish I had a DSLR to capture the beauty of the rain as it’s drops made musical noises on the glass window. I took the shots using my Nokia N82, which has proven to be a great phone+camera in one. With its 5MP cam, I really couldn’t ask for more.

The camera of the phone has really been handy since I don’t own any point and shoot cams. Most of the pictures I post in this site, I capture using my camera-phone. Unless when I borrow pictures from Ed’s Oly and DSLR. This only happens when we travel together to seek the next adventure that we can think of. But when I’m all bummed, like today, I use my ever reliable cam to capture the “weirdest” shots I could imagine to post on this site.
Right now, my camera phone is showing signs of retiring since the camera’s focus is not as crisp as it used to when I first had it. If that happens, I’m going to be doomed! Unless otherwise some kind soul drops me a new cam
Second hand cams will even do
I'm not a Girl Scout!

Waaaaaaa! My officemate is so mean! When she saw me in the office today, she immediately asked why am I wearing a girl scout uniform? Whatda???!!!
Then I realized that the blouse I’m wearing is green and with gold streaks in it. But this is not even close to the uniform of a girl scout, except for the color maybe. Maybe, if I can find a yellow scarf, then the ensemble would be complete, right?
Lesson learned? I will not wear the blouse again…hahaha…
I actually ransacked the blouse from my sister’s closet. She lives 2 islands away from our place since she was thrown out of civilization due to her work. hahaha. I sent her a text message now telling her of what my officemate said. She said she’s in a small island right now, riding a “habal-habal” (motorcycle) and its raining hard. How I wish we can trade places. I hope she invites me to go to her new place and just bum around the town she’s in.
Uh-oh. It’s starting to rain here too. Tsk tsk tsk.
