Booked a trip for the Visayas Blogging Summit!

Yep! This November, a couple of my blogger friends and I will be heading to Iloilo for the Visayas Blogging Summit. After Joining the successful Cebu Blog Camp, I can’t wait to attend future blogging events like this one. Will also be joining the WordCamp Philippines 2010 event on October 2 in Manila, although we haven’t booked for this trip yet.
Part of our itinerary when in Iloilo would be to see Guimaras. We heard that the fare going to the island is really cheap. Can’t wait to travel outside Cebu again! To all the bloggers all over, see you there!
Python on the loose!

Yes and no. Yes it’s a python, an albino python that is. And no, it’s not out in the wild.
We actually went to visit Crocolandia today and on top of seeing different animals, we got the chance to hold a python. Waaaaaaa!!! I’d say that it’s really one scary and daring move coming from someone like me. Never in my wildest dreams have I thought of holding a live snake! I always have a thing for snakes. I don’t like them and I’d feel goosebumps all over on the mere sight of one. But when I saw Ed, EJ and a couple of Bio students from CNU holding the python, I said to myself “What the heck!” and next thing I knew, I was touching the skin of the python.
Then EJ and Ed took turns in carrying the python and when I saw that the albino python was harmless, I decided to carry it too.

I couldn’t really explain what I felt. I was shrieking from the weird feeling. The python’s head kept moving and I couldn’t stand its movements. Had to squeal from time to time and kept asking them to remove it from my body. Aaargh! It was such a spine-tingling experience. Since the python’s head was moving at my back, I couldn’t help think that it’d swallow my head any moment. Hahaha

Learning how to swim on my own, check!
Holding and carrying a python, check!
So far, this has beaten my record of unexpected things to do before I kick the bucket. I wonder what’s next. LOL

If it was not for my friend Praline, I would have missed experiencing one of the biggest tech caravans that hit the country this summer, the Cyberzone Summer Festival.
The Fudge Restaurant

After a movie date with Audrey, we were asking ourselves where we should hang out. I guess we got tired of hanging out on our usual places – Hebrews, Cakewalkers, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, etc. Then I remembered something. Whenever I passed by A.S Fortuna St. here at Mandaue City, I noticed this cute little establishment just before Joven’s Grill. The word “fudge”, written in blue, is the 1st visible signage you will see on the establishment’s rooftop.

Discovering Adventure Cafe in Balamban

One fine day, I discovered that a new hangout place in Cebu was about to open. My friend Leah, who gave me this piece of information, told me that I should check out Adventure Café in Balamban and visit the place on their soft opening to get a first-hand experience of what the place can offer. It didn’t take a lot of convincing from her side since after she told me that there’s zip lining, wall climbing and more, I immediately got sold and wanted to see the place.
