Red Mango Frozen Yogurt in Cebu

Red Mango Frozen Yogurt recently opened their first branch here in Cebu City. Red Mango is the newest store in town when it comes to selling frozen yogurts. What’s great is that they have a whole space rented out on the busiest section (i guess) of Ayala Center Cebu, the 3rd level – which also houses the mall’s food court and cinemas.
Yesterday, October 14th, I attended the dinner party of The Photoblogger and it was really a privilege to be invited to join that small gathering. We dined at Tsim Sha Tsui at the Terraces in Ayala Center Cebu. After dinner, we went to check out Red Mango and tasted their frozen yogurts.

Do you see that banana there? I asked one of their managers if I’d get to have that whole banana if ever I choose to get that topping. hahaha. She said I’d only get 1/3 of it. bummer
That stick looking one is the weird looking cheesecake. Their toppings also include fresh fruits like mandarin orange, grapes, orange, pineapple, watermelon, mango and kiwi. They also have those colorful candies, chocolate chips, blueberry, banana and more. Then there’s those cornflakes and the rest of those powdery looking toppings. Oh, there’s almonds too. I didn’t pay much attention to what those were. Maybe when The Photoblogger and The Extraordinary Kiddo publishes their pictures, then we can check what the rest of those were.

customized spoons
I like how they have their spoons customized and labeled Red Mango. I just don’t like its texture since it’s not that smooth. I’m not sure if it felt sandy or grainy or whatever…bottomline, it’s not smooth. hehehe. Do check it out to see what I mean. But I still like how they have it customized. hahaha

Wait, is it just me or is Red Mango’s 4oz serving bigger than Coffeecat’s Php80 yogurt? Will check on this one when I got the chance. hehehe.

Red Mango has a very spacious area. I bet they’ll add more chairs to the place especially when the store kicks off as the next place where every mall lover can relax and enjoy eating healthy frozen yogurts. I find the store’s walls bare. On the other hand, Dane pointed out that hanging too many photos may give the store that fastfood feeling or look. So I’ll concede to that. hehehe.
There have been a lot of frozen yogurt stores which opened up in the Queen City of the South and the addition of Red Mango may likely tighten the competition when it comes to providing the best tasting frozen yogurt. I’ve heard good reviews about Red Mango, but those who were with me who got the chance to taste this has only one thing to say – White Hat Frozen Yogurt. To them, nothing has beaten White Hat when it comes to offering that authentic yogurt taste, i think. I have not tried out White Hat yet and their reaction all the more wants me to go to SM City Cebu to check out what’s special about White Hat.
Oh, I forgot, I was supposed to be telling you guys about Red Mango. hehehe. my bad. Anyway, what I like about Red Mango is that they have a lot of toppings to choose from including that cheesecake topping. I think I’d try that one and see what it tastes like whenever I get the chance to drop by Red Mango again. I also noticed power outlets spread out on strategic locations within the store. Are we foreseeing a future nook for those who are fond of hanging out in free wi-fi zones (like me) ? hehehe. I failed to ask the store if they will be offering wi-fi service soon or if we can use their outlets free of charge. Maybe next time.
To EJ and his family, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
P.S. Camera used: My 2.5-year old N82 camera phone by Nokia. So please bear with the picture quality. This phone’s cam is about to die on me. I just hope it lasts till I can find a decent replacement.
Red Mango Frozen Yogurt is located at the 3rd level of Ayala Center Cebu.
Store hours: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm

I was trying to break the ice so I checked out some FB pages and I remembered seeing the Graffiti Wall application found in Facebook from emilayusof.com‘s site. I figured why not try it, right?
I looked for an easy object which I could copy. The turtle looked complicated to me. The lady bug caught my eyes so there you have it.
I failed to see the sunflower eh
It wasn’t easy creating the Graffiti since I’m using a mouse. The wings are even not proportioned since I couldn’t control the mouse. I also lacked drawing space which explains why its body was missing. hehehe

turtle, lady bug & sunflower
I patterned the drawing from my lady bug paper holder which Wena and I bought at one of the stores in Colon for only P16.00
The turtle was only P46.00. When I saw the turtle, it said “Hi!” and I fell in love with it that I didn’t let go of the stuffed toy/purse anymore. The turtle’s back functions as a coin purse. hehe. The sunflower was a gift from a colleague.
journey to nowhere

I want to embark on a new journey soon. As to where it will be, I have no idea. I just want to travel north or south, east or west too. No definite plan yet as to where exactly. For now, I am wondering how far 2 Ninoy bills can take me – including food, transpo and the rest. Maybe I’ll list down names of towns on pieces of paper, roll them and pick my future destination? Or perhaps call a friend and ask for the name of the town that first comes to mind? Or maybe use Google to search for places I haven’t checked out yet. Wish me luck!

I’m Santa Claus’ elf
A very dear friend from the land down under sends us gifts from time to time and I get to deliver it to the gang.
I kinda feel bad since we can’t send something back unless someone from here travels there. The cost of sending over stuff from here is too much. One time, when we tried to send over something, we discovered that the freight cost more than the actual item. Luckily, someone went there.
I just wish it’s not that expensive to send stuff abroad so that we can also exchange gifts with Santa.
As for my role, I enjoy seeing the faces of my friends light up as they see their unexpected presents. And what I enjoy the most is when I tease one over the stuff sent to him
