My Site got Hacked!

The other day I noticed that my site took a long time to load, after which, it kept giving me a Network Protocol error message. After 2 hours, I checked it again and I saw the “Apache is working on your cPanel and WHM Server” homepage was plastered on my site. I tried to refresh the page and this was what I found next….
It seemed like a photo album of babies and I didn’t dare click on the album for it may contain viruses. Anyway, I tried to contact my hosting service chat support and this was the transcript:
Fine! The agent was in a hurry to close the chat. Worse is the 1 hour she promised stretched to more than 12 hours! 1 entry wasn’t recovered and certain comments on previous posts got deleted too. I can’t install updates for my existing Plugins since it prompting me to enter a hostname, username and password. I don’t have any clue what to enter! *sigh* Why me??? Well, I should be thankful that I didn’t lose all my data right?
I wish I was able to take those Online Degree Programs about web servers and everything that dealt with creating and maintaining a site. To think that the company paid for the lessons that I never got to take advantage of.
So much for security!

Oh.. That gotta suck big time.. Hope everything’s ok now.. Back up your db so next time if it happens or if you have to move or sth, you can restore them back up..

yeah, i hope this will be my last too coz my other friend’s site got hacked twice! he mentioned to back up the database and the files regulary. As for passwords, it must really be a combination of small and upper case letters with numbers and characters to secure it.
