Globe Broadband with Wi-Fi Router

While reading through the December 2009 issue of Metro magazine, I noticed a page that showed designer modems for Globe Broadband subscribers. After which, I noticed this ad on the next page saying that Globe has another value added service wherein I can add a Wi-Fi router for just PHP350/month for 3 months! I have been meaning to get a router at home so that I can work in my bedroom but I am still deciding on whether to really invest on one or not.
I checked out Globe’s website and found more information about the additional wi-fi router. The only thing that’s holding me back is the brand of the router. Although I know I shouldn’t complain since the price I’m paying for the router is way too cheap, I’d still want to make sure that I get full Internet signal anywhere in the house. Maybe I’ll call Globelines tomorrow and inquire about their wi-fi router added service for my Globe Broadband bundle. I wish I can still get those designer modems I saw for the main modem too.

I already got the wifi router last february and until now its working well…. got wifi around the house…. better get it for its only cheap….

Thanks for dropping by the site. I’m sorry to tell you that I can’t answer your question. I didn’t push through with getting the router from Globe eh. You can call them and inquire about the fee though, just to make sure what you need to expect with the fees involved in getting the router.

I was about to subscribe to this free router subscription offer. However i was told that, yes you can have, but we are out of routers,and have been so for 3 months ! if we get any routers we will call u. but still the advertising is ongoing in spite of no routers avaible. Smells fishy to me. this is in iloilo.

I would suggest you buy your own router instead of getting one from Globe
That way, you get to choose a more reliable router instead of what they are offering, which you can buy at CDR for a lesser value.
