Confused

I am trying to decide whether to buy a domain today or not. And so I’ve decided to buy one earlier. Then Edcel mentioned that Blogger offers free hosting services and I only have to pay for the domain name. But then again, I’m hesitant since I heard that Blogger has more restrictions. If I were to choose Blogger I’d be able save $12 since the other service would require me to pay for the web hosting + domain name.
Now I’m more confused with options to think from. I guess I will have to follow what has been proven and tested, although it might mean nosebleed for me. Hay, am still confused.
Thoughts? Anyone?
