Blue Lagoon

Pagudpud is one of the great surfing destinations in the Philippines. In this beautiful town lies a large hidden cove called Maira-ira or Blue Lagoon. Some have labeled this place as the Boracay of the North. I haven’t been to Bora yet but I think that this place is a gem.  It was really windy that time of the year when we visited the place (December). The tides were unmanageable yet a surfer may view this place as its haven.

My brother and I dared not swim (aside from the fact that we didn’t bring extra clothes) because of the strong tides and winds. The wind was so strong, it even blew the sands off, hurting your skin.

Untouched and Unspoiled. The place is simply amazing! A definite must-see when you chance to drop by Ilocos Norte.
